The Unifix Self Drill Cavity/Plasterboard Screw (V53499) is a light-duty fixing designed for quick and secure installation into plasterboard without the need for pre-drilling. Featuring a specialised cutting tip, this anchor effortlessly pierces the plasterboard skin, ensuring fast and efficient installation.
Supplied with pozidrive-compatible 4.5x37mm panhead screws, the anchor allows for easy removal and reinstallation, making it ideal for applications where fixtures may need to be temporarily removed for cleaning or decorating. The countersink feature ensures a flush finish against the plasterboard, while the durable zinc construction provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance.
These fixings are best suited for light-duty shear loads, such as hanging shelves, light fittings, or small brackets, where the force is applied parallel to the surface. While specific weight ratings can vary based on installation quality and wall condition, anchors of this type are typically rated for loads up to 20kg in standard 1/2" plasterboard. For heavier items or tensile loads (where force is applied directly outward) alternative fixings or mounting directly into wall studs is recommended.
Designed for versatility, these anchors can also be used with alternative screws if required, offering a practical solution for light-duty applications in plasterboard installations.

Orders placed before 16:00 with next working day/timed services will be dispatched the same day (Monday to Friday). Orders placed after 16:00 will not be dispatched until the next working day. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or bank holidays will be dispatched on the next working day. "Next working day" means Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Orders placed with any of the services below will not be delivered on a Saturday or Sunday.
We aim to despatch all orders with standard services within two working days, as long as all items are in stock.

All orders are available for collection from our stores. Collection orders will typically be ready within 2 hours of the order being placed as long as all items are in stock at the time of order.
At Connect ACR Supplies, we aim to deal with returns fairly and efficiently. As a business-to-business supplier, returns are accepted in line with our Terms and Conditions of Sale and are subject to the type of product being returned and its condition on arrival.
Please include your order number, the items you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
Standard stock lines may, at our discretion, be accepted for credit where they are returned in a resaleable condition. To be eligible, goods must be:
complete and unused
in their original packaging, where applicable
supplied with all accessories, manuals, labels, and components
free from damage, markings, labels, or signs of installation
There is no fixed timeframe for the return of standard stock items, provided the product remains a current stock line at the time of return.
The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return transport. Goods remain the customer's responsibility until they have been physically received and signed for by Connect ACR Supplies. We recommend using a tracked service and ensuring all items are packaged securely.
Non-stock, specially ordered, configured, or otherwise special items can only be returned if our supplier agrees to accept them. Any supplier restocking charges, handling charges, or carriage costs will be deducted from the credit where applicable. Credit for these items is not guaranteed.
Unless faulty, the following items are not eligible for return:
custom-made products
cut-to-length materials
items that have been installed, powered, used, or commissioned
sealed items where the seal has been broken
software or licences
any item marked as non-returnable on the quotation or order acknowledgement
Returns involving refrigerants, pressurised cylinders, or other hazardous goods are subject to relevant transport and compliance requirements. Opened or partially used refrigerant will not be accepted for credit. Cylinder returns must follow our documented returns procedure. Additional charges may apply where cylinders are returned incorrectly or in a non-compliant manner.
If you believe goods are faulty, please contact us before returning them. Returned items may be inspected and tested. If no fault is found, or the issue is due to misuse, incorrect installation, or another exclusion under our Terms, we may return the goods and apply reasonable inspection, testing, and carriage charges.
For eligible returns, credit will be raised for the net value of the goods less any applicable deductions. For special or non-stock items, credit may not be processed until supplier acceptance and, where applicable, supplier credit has been received.
This product is low on stock and therefore may take longer to arrive, you can still order this product by closing this popup (using the x above) and adding your item to the basket again.
